Websites built by two people, not a pipeline
Twofold Designs is Dylan and Jamie. We design, build and look after small-business websites ourselves, from the first email to the day the site goes live. No account manager in between, no work handed off to someone else.
Two founders. No subcontractors. Usually about two weeks, start to finish.
What we handle
Design, build, hosting, and the maintenance after launch, handled directly by the two of us rather than passed along a chain of freelancers.
Web design
We sketch out the layout and look of your site before writing a line of code, based on how your business actually explains what it does.
Development
React or Next.js when we're building from scratch. Webflow or WordPress when that's a better fit for your budget or how often you'll update it yourself.
E-commerce
Shopify stores and simple headless setups, built around a checkout that doesn't lose people halfway through.
SEO & performance
We keep pages light and structured properly, so search engines and someone on a slow connection both have an easier time with your site.
Care plans
Small edits and backups after launch, billed monthly instead of by the hour, so a five-minute fix doesn't turn into an invoice.
Content & copy
We help work out what each page should actually say, so writing copy isn't the thing holding up your launch.
Five stages, roughly two weeks start to finish
Discover
Days 1 to 2We talk through what the site needs to do, then gather what you already have: photos, videos, social links, whatever you want included.
Design
Days 2 to 4Wireframes into a full visual design, reviewed together with you before anything's built.
Build
Days 5 to 10The design becomes real, working code, checked as we go rather than left until the end.
Launch
Days 11 to 14Checked across devices, domain and hosting sorted, and the site goes live.
Grow
OngoingOnce there's real traffic, we look at what's working and make small changes from there.
What every build comes with
The same standard whether it's a one-page site or a full storefront. Nothing here is a paid tier.
Responsive by default
Checked on phones, tablets and desktops before anything goes live, not after.
Under two seconds
A load-time target we hold every build to, not something we get to if there's time left.
Built to be found
Pages marked up properly so search engines can actually read them.
Domain & hosting set up
We handle getting it online and pointed at your domain, not just handing you a zip file.
Copy direction
Help figuring out what goes where, so launch doesn't stall while someone writes text.
A look after launch
We check real traffic once the site's live and flag anything worth changing.
Optional care plan
Ongoing edits and backups, billed monthly, only if you want that after launch.
Both of us, directly
No account manager and no subcontractor in between. You talk to whoever's building it.
We're taking on our first clients
We haven't launched a client site yet, and would rather say that plainly than pad this page with work that isn't ours. If you run a local business, that means you get our full attention right now, at first-client rates.
Example builds
Demo sites we designed and built end to end to show what a Twofold build actually looks like. Not real clients, just work we made ourselves to show our style.
